Turn a song you love into a record with a cover you design yourself, and leave it at a place in Istanbul. Whoever gets there finds it, opens it, listens.

    Pick a song.

    Paste a Spotify or Apple Music link, or type its name and search. The song opens in the finder’s own music app.

    Press the cover yourself.

    Make the front with photos, drawings, words and stickers. On the back, write a note about why you chose this song.

    Leave it somewhere in the city.

    Your record waits at that place in a hidden sleeve. Anyone who gets close can open it; who left it shows only once it’s open.

Sleeves hide at real places.

The map shows the places where records have been left. Go there, and once you’re close you open the sleeve; the song, the cover and the note appear at that moment. Before that, only the sleeve’s edge colour and the month it was left give anything away.

The widget spins the last record you found or pressed on a background you draw yourself. Tap it and that record opens. On the Lock Screen, the song’s name stays hidden until your phone is unlocked.

Plak doesn’t follow you.

  • Your location isn’t stored.

    It’s used only while the app is open, and only to confirm you’re near a place when you drop or open a record. It’s never tracked in the background, and nobody sees where you are on the map.
